I work for a university that is using exchange and outlook as the default mail handler across campus. How can I change the default from Apples mail.app to Outlook without having to open and setup the account in the mail.app first? It's a waist of time having to do both, and before you tell me how great mail.app is it is not what we want to use as the default mail handler. If it is editable in a file please let em know where it is so I may make the change across all of our machines as we deploy them.
Choose Preferences from the Mail menu, then click General. Or, if you're prompted to set up an email account, add your account, then choose Preferences from the Mail menu. Choose your email app from the 'Default email reader' pop-up menu. You can also set your default email app in the preferences of your third-party email app.
Thank you,
Don
