NOTE: Proceed to STEP 2 if you have backed up, uninstalled U3 and formatted your Ultra Backup drive.

Mar 30, 2013 I just bought two SanDisk 64gb SD cards (Extreme SDXC Class 10) for my new Fuji X100S camera. They, of course, work great in the camera. The Mac (neither my iMac27' or my Macbook Pro) wants NOTHING to do with it and says 'The disk you inserted was not readible by this computer'. Sandisk free download - SanDisk SDDR-55 ImageMate X, DoubleTwist, MAC M4P Converter for iTunes, and many more programs.

STEP 1 - Backup all your data, uninstall U3andformat the device.

STEP 2 - Download SanDisk Backup (standalone) software

1. Download the SanDisk Backup software and save it to your desktop.
2. Plug the Ultra Backup drive to the PC.
3. Unzip sandisk-backup-pc.zip and extract SanDiskBackup.exe to the root directory of your Ultra Backup drive.
WARNING: Do NOT extract it to the desktop of your PC
NOTE: Images below are sample images and may vary depending on Windows operating systems used and user settings. In the image below the Ultra Backup drive is Removable Disk (F:)

STEP 3 - Setup the SanDisk Backup software
1. Double-click SanDiskBackup.exe

NOTE: SanDisk Backup is available in 19 languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, Russian, Czech, Polish, Turkish, Korean, Japanese, Traditional, Simplified Chinese and Arabic).
3. Read and accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) by clicking Yes, I have read and accept the EULA check box.
4. Click Next.
5. Select the drive to install SanDisk Backup software on, then click Next.
6. In the Backup Name* text box, type in the backup name.
6a. If you like to protect your data, click to select the Password protect and encrypt my data check box, and then specify your password.
7. Select Automatic or Custom backup.
8. Click to select the SanDisk Backup Manager will be installed on your computer to ensure automatic and continuous backups check box to allow SanDisk Backup to be launched automatically each time you plug your Ultra Backup drive to your PC. Click Next
9. This is only an option, but if you like to create an online account, type in your email address and create your own password in the text boxes provided.
10. Click Launch Backup to start

I think i might know the answer to this question (e.g. 'I'm stuck, it won't work') but I'm gonna ask anyway. I just bought two SanDisk 64gb SD cards (Extreme SDXC Class 10) for my new Fuji X100S camera. They, of course, work great in the camera. The Mac (neither my iMac27' or my Macbook Pro) wants NOTHING to do with it and says 'The disk you inserted was not readible by this computer'.

Is this an issue with some limit on the card size (I doubt it), or is it the fact that the Mac apparently doesn't like SDXC cards? I've tried different readers; no luck. Tried smaller (32GB) cards - they work fine.

Any ideas, anyone? If not, I guess I'm sending two cards back to my friends at Amazon.
